As Winter Storm Hernando strengthens, it will bring blizzard conditions to a huge chunk of the Northeast and New England. More than 39 million people are in blizzard warnings. Eastern Massachusetts could see significant snow, coastal flooding and power outages Sunday evening through Monday. Winter Storm Hernando is well underway in Hagerstown, Maryland, where snow fell heavily on Sunday afternoon. Vehicles were still moving on the interstates, but that was expected to change as the storm’s impacts began to intensify.
