It's not necessarily a major storm, but we'll see a little of everything across the eastern two-thirds of the country into the weekend. Here's our latest forecast.
After record December storms collapsed roofs and sank boats, Juneau, Alaska, is now racing to dig out from a fresh round of heavy snow before rain arrives this week.
Record highs and warm record lows will be in jeopardy through Saturday as temperatures end up 20-30 degrees above average. Chicago will see highs in the 50s on Thursday, while St. Louis climbs into the 60s and Nashville tops out in the 70s. The core of the warmth shifts east Friday and Saturday as a cold front drops temperatures back to reality from west to east this weekend. Another big warm-up is expected next week.
Some of you hoping for a change in January may be disappointed as the country has some substantial areas of above and below average temperatures. Discover what the nation's regions will see.
