Systems continue to push across the Northern Tier of the country, bringing heavy snow to the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Northeast.

It is still a ways off, but models are suggesting that rain, snow and ice could threaten Southern cities this weekend. A strong system from the Southwest will move east by the weekend, interacting with the cold air over the South and Southeast. Some models are suggesting snow from northern Texas to northern Georgia, with Atlanta potentially seeing a wintry mix. Ice is possible for cities like Dallas, Oklahoma City and Little Rock. Most of these cities do not usually see weather like this, so travel could be impacted. Here’s the latest forecast.

After Winter Storm Warnings were issued in parts of the South on Saturday, snow arrived as far south as Pensacola, Florida.
