For those of you in the Northeast, a windstorm will snarl pre-Christmas travel as we finish the week. Rain will quickly turn to snow as cold air is ushered in by the frontal system. Add in wind gusts over 50 mph and travel via roads or skies will become messy. Cities like Philadelphia, New York, Buffalo and Boston could all see impacts. Santa may need to shed his winter coat this Christmas because temperatures across much of the country will be well above average through the big day. Numerous record-warm highs and lows are possible over the next week, especially across parts of the Southwest.
