Dramatic video captured a massive wall of flames closing in on a shopping center in Santee, California, on Sunday evening. Thick smoke billowed high as shoppers were evacuated and fire crews arrived to battle the brush fire. Here’s the latest.

An early week severe threat targets the storm fatigued Midwest and Great Lakes Monday and Tuesday. A few severe storms are expected to develop Monday night into Tuesday. Hail larger than golfballs and gusty winds will be possible in places like Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago.The severe threat shifts east to include more of the Great Lakes and the interior portions of the Northeast Tuesday. Some parts of the country are seeing earlier than average blooms and leaves on trees, and the weather has a part to play in this. The Southwest and Southeast, in particular, have seen large impacts.
