Caption: The moon one day before the "super moon" of 2013. The moon can be tricky to photograph because it is bright, but the light sensor on the camera tends to not understand how bright relative to the rest of the scene, which can cause the picture to be overexposed. This was taken with a Canon 7D (1/250 sec, ISO 100) and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens (200mm, manual focus). The image is cropped using the original aspect ratio to approximately 1/5 of the original size.
