The team was built between 1604-1615 by the Jesuit Michael Hintze. Superior of the Jesuit college in Sandomierz was Fr. prof. Sebastian Bobola (1586-1649). From the north side of the square, the site of today's lower garden existed since the seventeenth century Baroque building topped by a parapet of the seminar. College building destroyed by fire in 1656 and 1813, the years 1820 to 1826, it was rebuilt under the supervision of Francis Reinstein, designated as the seat of the bishop and the school faculty. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the south wing was demolished and the church. Peter (mentioned since 1166), standing in the middle of the courtyard. Oldest preserved, east wing, on the edge of the escarpment Sandomierz, on which the entire old city.
