Cirrus September

Kalamata, Greece

Caption: A wonderful September day, beautiful sunshine, the temperature in the high eighties, a very slight breeze and the air as clear as crystal, what more could you ask for? The sun's rays bursting through the icy cirrus clouds give an extra dimension to one of the loveliest views in the Mani, across Kardemili in the far south of Greece.

About Granddad

We are English, (except our dogs, who are definitely very Greek, having been abandoned strays who took us in out of the kindness of their hearts). We retired to Greece in 2003 to escape the phoney political correctness endemic throughout the Anglo-Saxon world and to mix with some real people again. We live in the Exo-Mani in the extreme South of the Peloponnesus, where the sea and countryside are beautiful and the weather is also less political (i.e. they don't tax sunshine yet). The site provides an opportunity for us to bore the whole world with our snapshots and for which we are duly grateful.
