Caption: and gone! It may look like this feral kitten is posing, but I just happened to snap this right when (s)he noticed me and my camera, and in the next second, they were all gone...zoom! They are very nervous about people, even though they know we feed them.

You may be right about that, Robert, but we try
and we do what we can. It would also be helpful
if more people would spay and neuter their animals
and not just let them run around. Feral animals
are a real problem.

I believe that the tragedy is that we humans have lost our ability to communicate with animals. If we could it is possible that they would be willing to listed to our offers of help.

I've know a woman who could walk up to stray/wild cats and be able touch them and help them in times of difficulty. The local authorities regularly called upon her assist in they efforts to effect a rescue.
