Brownfield, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: strutting 'their stuff' for their 'harems' of hens..dozens of these beautiful, and so very funny to watch, wild turkeys spent most of the morning in and out of the fields, gardens, lawns, and woods around our property..it's mating season so the Toms are working very hard to get the 'hens of their dreams'..LOL!! it's a dark, damp, and cold day here with very light snow..seems that's what the turkeys like best since I rarely see them when it's bright and sunny...I'll be posting a dozen or so shots to share this awesome sight with those of you who never have had the pleasure of seeing these magnificent birds in the wild..and for those who HAVE had the pleasure as well! :)

About suzi46

Going from the Mt Washington Valley region of Maine/NH, all the way down to the "Horse Capital of the World, Marion County" in Central Florida in April 2014, was quite a change to say the least! Photo ops, in a totally new and intriguing area of this very large and varied state, are slowly presenting themselves to me as I adjust to this brand new environment and much warmer weather!! I look forward to this new photographic chapter of my life!
