Cape Coral, FL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This is my street - it was slow going to get home. I don't recall ever driving thru so much and such deep water before. At times, it was tough to tell where the road was. We received rain most of the day yesterday and again today from Invest 95L. The visibility and flooding were pretty bad during the evening commute home. My street is totally under water. Most folks had enough sense to drive slow as conditions made it necessary to take it easy.

It was quite the ride home but this morning all that water is GONE! Unbelieveable! Yes, it is NOT a good idea to drive in that much water but there's nowhere to park and walk and all the other streets were almost as bad. Anyway, I made it by going really slow.

Probably not a good idea to drive through these flooded streets. Perhaps better to park your car in a safe place and walk home. Here in NJ we're expecting significant rain on Wednesday. It must be coming this way. Be safe...
