The Haunted Amusement Park

Uploaded by: kstuebin

Caption: Came across this on a Sunday drive. I don't know if the plaque will be readable when resized for WU so it says, "In this field in 1783 two children of Mitchell Clay were killed by Shawnee Indians. Clay was the first white settler in Mercer County. In the background are two rusting amusement park rides overgrown with vines, an octupus and a ferris wheel. Creepy.

About kstuebin

I live in southern WV. I try to capture the beauty of this region...unfortunately, I am inadequate. You need to see it yourself.
