Thank you very much for the poem. I know how it feels to loose those that are close to the heart. I am glad that my photo could stand in place of a poem for you.

I post this in honor of my wife of 43 years who is dying from cancer. I felt your photo was appropriate.

I Find No Words
On a cold dark night deep in the woods, the owl's call brings forth a tear.
A cry that you cannot hold back and in the deep woods, there is no need for restraint.
Depression that cannot be controlled, its hold is so deep inside you;
You know it will never leave.
At first, Numbness throughout your body tempts
The mind in believing everything will be fine.
Yet, you fight an Emotional breakdown within yourself
Constantly balancing on the path of the eternities.
Soulful cries in the wilderness of Tekoa that cannot be expressed or heard
A Somber feeling that is unrevealing to people.
Watching someone you love become a distant memory
Frustrations which silently scream as the appearance of hope
Slowly becomes a vague shape on the horizon.
You try to bring memories of times gone by but they are not any closer
A happy face and positive outlook become bleaker by the day
As nothing overcomes the invisible force which pulls them away.
There are times of laughter, hints of fun, fleeting at best and never won.
Hands are held as if they are the last; you steal a little kiss to last forever.
But, with all the prayers, pleas, promises, outright lies, nothing helps to hasten the slow drift
Toward the always setting sun. Wondering if there will come a day
When she will slowly return to the person she was and not the one she has become.
