Caption: Small aurora that started right at sunset tonight. Stayed just a stream for most of an hour. Hopefully we will see more in the next few days. You can see more Northern Lights photos in my folder here and at my web site

About Glacierwolf

I live in North Pole, Alaska and work as a project engineer of high tech electronics in Alaska's Interior. 30+ years using many different photographic and video formats - my favorite shots are aurora, low light, ice art and wildlife photos. I just moved to FujiFim IS PRO 12.1mp Scientific/Forensic UV-VIS-IR DSLR camera for aurora work and Canon 30D DSLR for nature. Alaska being a photo opportunity nearly every day - I have a "Kings Ransom" in lenses, special filters and custom equipment designed especially with Alaskan use in mind. I am the current Superintendent for the Photography Division at the Alsaka State Fair held each year in Fairbanks. Feel free to email me - I'd be happy to share techniques and ideas.
