Beauty At My Feet

Jamestown, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Surprising fall foliage, given the drought conditions last Fall. The colors stopped me in my tracks! A monopod helped keep things steady in the deep shade of the forest. This small scene was captured in the South Saint Vrain canyon, southeast of Rocky Mountain National Park.

About turtleman

I live in Pine, Colorado at 8400 feet. I'm southwest of Denver about 45 minutes and live next door to the Not-Yet-Opened new State Park called Staunton. I say I dwell under the Southern Shoulder of Black Mountain. Sometimes people call this the "Banana Belt" of the region, because storms, if they hit us at all, are usually muted in power.
