Caption: One of the mighty oak trees on Driftwood Beach at Jekyll Island, Georgia... This was captured before dawn and that is the moon glowing over the dark silhouettes of the trees strewn over this interesting beach. A full minute exposure gives long rays of light to the crescent moon and it almost resembles the sun in the nighttime sky...
Image Description: "Moonshine" by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan... Very early in the morning, before dawn, with a crescent moon above, the trees on Driftwood Beach on the coast of south Georgia look eerie and mysterious. With a long exposure to capture the gaining color in the east and the moon's glow from above, with the lens open for over a full minute, the moon almost resembles the sun with rays beaming into the deep dusky blue of the morning sky. The tide is very low and the huge oak trees captured by storms and tidal surges are strewn over the wet sand. This tall oak still stands, a silent sentinel guarding the beach as the tides come and go..
