Caption: On the edge of the incoming tide, this is one of the small tidal pools under the foot of one of the giant fallen oak trees at Driftwood Beach. Captured this morning at sunrise, we arrived at a very chilly and windy beach with a clear sky with just a hint of haze to show off some of the pretty sunrise color...
Image Description: Sunrise at Driftwood Beach is always an experience not to be missed, especially on those mornings each month when sunrise coincides with low tide. Driftwood beach, also known as Roots Beach by the locales, is filled with old oak trees that have lost their battle with years of storms and tides. They lay like half buried soldiers in the wet sands as the waves roll over them. Shown here in this image is one of the many small pools caught under the giant foot of one of those mighty oaks...
