Interesting assortment is pretty much an understatement here lately! They used this big guy to hit along the ridges and smaller bombers and helicopters to handle the dangerous and steep canyons. God bless them all for their bravery.

I Lived close to a California Air Fighting Fire base for many years. Those pilots are beyond brave.

May they and everyone impacted be safe.

You have an impressive collection of aircraft. I did not know that DC10's were used to fight fires. I imagine the refitting of a former airliner is an interesting story.

Biggest guns I ever saw Duane. What a relief. I am still listening to all the scanner traffic between the spotter and the pilots. Love those guys. So cool under pressure, calmly dodging mountains, trees and each other. :)
