Kalamata, Greece

Caption: I took this picture yesterday morning as the storm clouds were building over the start of the Rintomo Gorge in the Taigetos Mountains in Southern Greece. Sure enough: thunder is now rolling, rain is pouring and Zeus is casting his bolts at anyone silly enough to be out in the storm. WU often gets it right!

About Granddad

Granddad

We are English, (except our dogs, who are definitely very Greek, having been abandoned strays who took us in out of the kindness of their hearts). We retired to Greece in 2003 to escape the phoney political correctness endemic throughout the Anglo-Saxon world and to mix with some real people again. We live in the Exo-Mani in the extreme South of the Peloponnesus, where the sea and countryside are beautiful and the weather is also less political (i.e. they don't tax sunshine yet). The site provides an opportunity for us to bore the whole world with our snapshots and for which we are duly grateful.
