Kitries at Sunset

Kalamata, Greece

Caption: At this time of year the moisture in the air (humidity) almost guarantees a wonderful sunset. Coupled with the 'mill-pond' sea, a fisherman or two laying their nets and a splendid yacht moored just off-shore it was just too good an opportunity to miss, even if I did get my shoes soaked in the process. Turner: eat your heart out! (Just think what he could have done with a digital camera)

About Granddad

We are English, (except our dogs, who are definitely very Greek, having been abandoned strays who took us in out of the kindness of their hearts). We retired to Greece in 2003 to escape the phoney political correctness endemic throughout the Anglo-Saxon world and to mix with some real people again. We live in the Exo-Mani in the extreme South of the Peloponnesus, where the sea and countryside are beautiful and the weather is also less political (i.e. they don't tax sunshine yet). The site provides an opportunity for us to bore the whole world with our snapshots and for which we are duly grateful.
