It's the light on the undergrowth and especially those red tree trunks. Any of these could have been AC!

More of that beautiful lighting! I wondered why
this scene stood out so much and it's because
there are none of those tall, elegant evergreens,
but I really love this shot! It is a festival of
textures! Just beautiful, Julia!

It happens to all of us. I have seen many a
photo in a series that I preferred to the AC.

I, also, am rather fond of this one.

Thanks for looking and writing, Katy!

About Doesiedoats

Doesiedoats

I found and joined Weather Underground in September of 2007. Since then I have participated in the photography group with a great deal of pleasure, friendship, learning and a means of seeing the rest of the world.I am not only saddened, but quite upset at the announced closure of this part of Weather Underground.I hope that other members of the community will join us on FaceBook and keep in touch.I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
