A Life long Alaskan and a 3'rd generation Alaskan to boot, I enjoy snowmachining, aviation, and photography. I got into amateur photography over the past 5 years and am always learning. I like to say any good picture I take is a mistake and I've made a few mistakes in my life. One of my favorite things to make in photography is panoramic pictures. It takes special software to create them and large format printers to produce them. I have also learned the art and craft of matting and framing my own work so now I have several large panoramic prints hanging around my office and house. Create your own visitor map!

Caption: It's been pretty cold these days in Anchorage and most of Alaska. This morning at our house it was -20f. Currently at noon it's warmed up to a balmy -11f. With all the cold temps the hoar frost has really been building up. These trees seem to be reaching for the warmth of the sun at the tops where the low sun angles have been causing the houses to shadow them.
