A Life long Alaskan and a 3'rd generation Alaskan to boot, I enjoy snowmachining, aviation, and photography. I got into amateur photography over the past 5 years and am always learning. I like to say any good picture I take is a mistake and I've made a few mistakes in my life. One of my favorite things to make in photography is panoramic pictures. It takes special software to create them and large format printers to produce them. I have also learned the art and craft of matting and framing my own work so now I have several large panoramic prints hanging around my office and house. Create your own visitor map!

Caption: As a comparison shot to the following pictures this is what I got when I left the camera on automatic to snap the picture, it took a long exposure that lightened things up and the white balance evened out the colors. Telling it that I was shooting into the light and giving it a reasonable shutter speed but leaving the aperture on automatic made all of the difference between this flushed and lightened up version of the other pictures I posted of this display following this. I need to learn more of this photography stuff to get results like I got on the other pictures.
