... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 430 PM EDT
for Berks... northwestern Montgomery... Lehigh and southern Northampton
counties...

At 401 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Allentown to Spring Ridge, moving east at 25 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, reading, Easton, Bethlehem, Forks, Emmaus, Wyomissing,
Northampton, Wilson, Hellertown, Nazareth, Birdsboro, Kutztown,
Fleetwood, Sinking Spring, Laureldale, Womelsdorf, Bath, Wernersville
and Newmanstown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

In addition to damaging winds and hail, torrential rainfall is also
occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not
drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania...

* until 745 PM EDT

* at 345 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in spots.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Allentown, Easton, Lehighton, Mount Pocono, Bethlehem, Forks,
Emmaus, Northampton, East Stroudsburg, Wilson, Hellertown,
Nazareth, Palmerton, Bangor, Jim Thorpe, Slatington, Pen Argyl,
Nesquehoning, Wind Gap and Bath.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT
tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Delaware, northeast Maryland, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in Delaware, Kent
and New Castle. In northeast Maryland, Caroline, Cecil, Kent
MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot. In New Jersey, Camden,
Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, northwestern
Burlington, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, Warren, and western
Monmouth. In Pennsylvania, Berks, Delaware, eastern Chester,
eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, lower Bucks, Northampton,
Philadelphia, upper Bucks, western Chester, and western
Montgomery.

* Until midnight EDT tonight

* multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms can be expected
through tonight. Torrential downpours with storms that develop
this evening could produce rainfall rates greater than 2 inches
per hour. While the entire area will not receive heavy rain,
isolated rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches are possible where
storms track over the same locations.

* Torrential rain falling in a short period of time will result
in rapidly rising water levels along streams and creeks and in
areas of poor drainage. Significant roadway flooding is
possible in isolated areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

south central Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* until 615 PM EDT

* at 209 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms moving into an area that already received heavy rain
this morning. This additional rain will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Allentown, Lehighton, Kutztown, Jim Thorpe, Hamburg, Womelsdorf,
Topton, Leesport, Shoemakersville, Bernville, Strausstown,
Lenhartsville, New Mahoning, Neffs, Coffeetown, New Tripoli,
Claussville, Fairview hgts, Wanamakers and Jordan Valley.

Additional rainfall of around 2 inches is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
