Issued: 10:53 PM PDT Mar. 29, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Idaho and Washington, including the following
counties, in Idaho, Benewah, Bonner, boundary, Kootenai,
Latah, Lewis, Nez Perce, and Shoshone. In Washington, Asotin,
Pend Oreille, Spokane, and Stevens.

* Through Friday morning

* additional rainfall up to a quarter of an inch will be possible
through Thursday afternoon with showers

* water tables are running high from the last few weeks of wet
weather and melting snow. Localized field flooding is already
occurring and is likely to worsen by Thursday morning. Small
streams and creeks will see increased flows. Saturated grounds
will also lead to potential mudslides in steep terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
