Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:42 PM EST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST
Saturday...

Hazardous weather...

* light snow will continue across the area through saturday;
however, the snow will mix with or change to freezing drizzle
and sleet at times through late this evening. Any mixed
precipitation will change back to snow late tonight into
Saturday. Snow will diminish late on Saturday.

* Expect additional snowfall accumulations tonight through Saturday
of 3 to 7 inches, with ice accumulations generally under a tenth
of an inch possible. The heaviest snow totals are expected from
Trenary to Steuben to Pine Stump Junction and points north. Little
to no ice accumulation is expected on Saturday morning.

* Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing
and drifting snow, especially later tonight into Saturday
   near Lake Superior.

Impacts...

* the wet snow along with ice accumulations will continue to
make roads slippery through Saturday. Travel will be
   difficult on untreated roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet,
or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared
for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution
   while driving.
