...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph. Localized
wind gusts up to 85 mph are expected mainly in the wind prone
areas along Interstates 25 and 80. A lull in the high winds is
expected through early Saturday morning.

* WHERE...South Laramie Range and Foothills including the Interstate
80 Summit between Cheyenne and Laramie, Bordeaux area along
Interstate 25 between Chugwater and Wheatland, Converse County
Lower Elevations, East Platte County, and Central Laramie County.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could lead to reduced
visibility. In addition, new wildfire starts will spread very
rapidly under dry and windy conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or
occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 MPH or gusts of 58
MPH or stronger can lead to property damage.

WEATHER ZONES 418 AND 435...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 418 and 435.

* WIND...West winds 30 to 45 mph, with gusts up 70 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Between 13 and 18 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
