...RED FLAG WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM THIS MORNING TO MIDNIGHT MST TONIGHT FOR LOW RH, STRONG WINDS, AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 430 AND 431... * THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR LARAMIE COUNTY AND THE SOUTHERN LARAMIE RANGE FOOTHILLS. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 430 and 431. * WIND...Sustained winds 40 to 55 mph. Gusts in excess of 60 to 75 mph. * HUMIDITY...RH values 15 to 25%. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for very rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This is a Particularly Dangerous Situation that poses a significant threat to life and property in the event of a wildfire start. Residents are urged to assemble an emergency supply kit and know their evacuation routes. In some cases, safe and timely evacuation may not be possible should a fire approach. Strong cross winds will be hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wildfires will have the potential to spread rapidly in these conditions.
