...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of west central Virginia, including the following county, Alleghany VA and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier, Monroe and Summers. * WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1038 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Buffalo Creek, Anthony Creek, Big Run, Bluestone River, Brush Creek, Boone Creek, Big Creek, Broad Run, Beech Run, Bradshaw Creek, Blue Lick Creek, Back Creek and Boulder Run. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Alleghany...
