Snow showers will bring some light new snow accumulations of
1-2 inches to most areas this morning. Areas that are directly on
the upslope side of the mountains may see slightly higher values
than the 1-2 inches mentioned above.

Be prepared for slick spots on untreated roads, particularly on
bridges and overpasses. Please allow extra time to reach your
destination.

...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
NOON EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero
expected.

* WHERE...In North Carolina, Ashe and Watauga Counties. In Virginia,
Craig, Grayson, Alleghany VA, and Bath Counties. In West Virginia,
Eastern Greenbrier, Monroe, Summers, and Western Greenbrier
Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
