THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 302 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KENTUCKY THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST KENTUCKY BOYD CARTER GREENUP LAWRENCE IN VIRGINIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA BUCHANAN DICKENSON IN WEST VIRGINIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA BOONE LINCOLN LOGAN MCDOWELL MINGO WYOMING IN WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA CABELL WAYNE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALUM CREEK, ASHLAND, BREAKS INTERSTATE PARK, CANNONSBURG, CARTER CAVES STATE PARK, CEREDO, CHAPMANVILLE, CLINTWOOD, DAVENPORT, FLATWOODS, GARY, GRAYSON, GRAYSON LAKE STATE PARK, GRUNDY, HAMLIN, HARTS, HUNTINGTON, HURLEY, KENOVA, LOGAN, LOUISA, MADISON, MAN, MULLENS, OCEANA, OLIVE HILL, PINEVILLE, RACELAND, RUSSELL, VANSANT, WAR, WAYNE, WELCH, WILLIAMSON, AND YATESVILLE LAKE STATE PARK.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, including the following counties, Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lawrence, southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Buchanan and Dickenson, and West Virginia, including the following counties, Boone, Cabell, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mingo, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Raleigh, Putnam, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Raleigh, Wayne and Wyoming. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
