Between 0.8 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Charleston, Nitro, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar, Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Pratt, Coal Fork, Institute, Cross Lanes, Alum Creek, Tornado, Handley and Ashford. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 105. Route 119 between mile markers 68 and 80.
