...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northwestern Smyth County in southwestern Virginia... Southwestern Tazewell County in southwestern Virginia... * WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 644 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain caused by thunderstorms has ended. Now light to moderate rain is falling across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over portions of the advisory region. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Indian Creek, Crewey Branch, Beaver Creek, Clinch River, Laurel Springs Creek, Middle Fork Holston River, Little Tumbling Creek, Little River and Laurel Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
