At 459 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Parsons to near Stonewall Jackson, moving east at
15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Elkins, Buckhannon, Philippi, Audra State Park, Belington, Junior,
Montrose, Volga, Century, Kerens, Ellamore, Tallmansville, Overhill,
and Hodgesville.

* WHERE...In Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson Counties. In West
Virginia, Taylor, Barbour, Upshur, Northwest Fayette, Northwest
Nicholas, Northwest Raleigh, McDowell, and Wyoming Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
