* Flood Warning for
the Ohio River At Racine Lock.
* From Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday evening.
* At 11:00 AM EST Monday the stage was 34.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 41.5 feet early Wednesday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday
afternoon.

the Ohio River At Robert C. Byrd Lock.
* From late Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
* At 11:00 AM EST Monday the stage was 41.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 50.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 50.0 feet
early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 50.0 feet, Sections of Route 7 and portions of
Gallipolis along the immediate river will flood. Also, bottom
lands on the Ohio side of the river are flooded.

the Ohio River At Point Pleasant.
* From this afternoon to Thursday afternoon.
* At 11:00 AM EST Monday the stage was 37.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this afternoon to a crest of 44.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will
then fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 44.0 feet, Homes at the end of 2nd Street outside the
flood wall in Point Pleasant are flooded. Little Kyger Gravel Hill
Road at Kyger Creek is flooded.

ROANE, JACKSON, WIRT, WOOD AND MASON COUNTIES...

At 134 PM EST, Flooding, significant in many areas, persists across
the area. Many roads remain closed as a result, especially secondary
roads. Despite rain having ended, flood waters will remain high for
much of the remainder of the day. In addition, flood waters along
many creeks, streams, and rivers remain high. Do not cross flooded
roadways.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Parkersburg, Athens, Marietta, Belpre, Jackson, Wellston,
Nelsonville, Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Ripley, Spencer, Pomeroy,
Glouster, Mcarthur, Oak Hill, Beverly, Rio Grande, Albany,
Elizabeth and Racine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
