forecast.

* WHERE...Yellow River at Babcock.

* WHEN...From this morning to Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Highway 80 is closed near the town of
Babcock. Widespread wooded land along the river is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 12.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage to 11.7 feet
this afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage this
afternoon to 16.9 feet tomorrow morning. It will fall below flood
stage again tomorrow evening.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and northeast Wisconsin,
including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Portage,
Waushara and Wood. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc
and Winnebago. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Kewaunee and
Outagamie.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Extensive street flooding will also be possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- 3 to 5 inches of rain have fallen across parts of central and
east-central Wisconsin. An addtioanl 0.5 to 1 inch of rain is
expected with thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Addtioanl
flooding is possible.
