For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 99 degrees and Wet Bulb Globe Temperatures up to 87 degrees possible. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, Itasca, and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. In Wisconsin, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek area, the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake, Big Sandy Lake and, East Lake areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 9 PM CDT Saturday. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
