...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR NORTHERN BROWN, SOUTHERN DOOR, NORTHERN KEWAUNEE, SOUTHERN OCONTO AND NORTHEASTERN OUTAGAMIE COUNTIES... At 1205 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Some roads are closed in Howard and Green Bay. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Bay Shore Park, Pulaski, Algoma, Luxemburg, Bellevue, Oneida, De Pere, Howard, Ashwaubenon, Allouez, Suamico, Hobart, Little Suamico, Chase, Abrams, Pensaukee, Humboldt and Brussels. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In north central Wisconsin, Langlade and Lincoln. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Menominee, Northern Marinette County, Northern Oconto County, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Marinette County, Southern Oconto County and Waupaca. * WHEN...Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding will also be possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Soils are saturated due to recent rainfall and rain across the area this afternoon.
