This is currently near record. * WHERE...Root River at Franklin. * WHEN...Until Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, The Root River Parkway is flooded. 8 Mile Rd and 27th St Flooded. Nicholson Rd flooded. A portion of Oakwood Road is flooded. Yards along the river are flooded. There is widespread flooding of lowland and agricultural land near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Sunday was 11.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow evening and continue falling to 2.5 feet Sunday, August 17. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.0 feet on 06/08/2008. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations. In south central Wisconsin, Columbia, Dane, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock and Sauk. ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT MONDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, Dodge, Jefferson, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 529 PM CDT, Emergency management reported ongoing flooding impacts in the warned area due to the Saturday night thunderstorms. Between 8 and 14 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through tonight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Milwaukee, Waukesha, Wauwatosa, New Berlin, Menomonee Falls, Oak Creek, West Bend, Muskego, Cudahy, Hartford, Whitefish Bay, Greendale, Pewaukee, Brown Deer and Grafton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
