EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 101
expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, Itasca, and
Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland,
Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This
includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix
Band in Burnett County, the Red Cliff Band, the Bad River
Reservation, the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek area, the Lac Courte
Oreilles Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake,
East Lake and, Big Sandy Lake areas. Other locations including the
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
