At 411 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line extending from near Plainfield to 8 miles northeast of Spring Green to near Hazel Green. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Middleton, Stoughton, Waunakee, Baraboo, Monroe, Verona, Portage, Oregon, Reedsburg, McFarland, Monona, Mount Horeb, Windsor, Berlin, Edgerton, Columbus, and Dodgeville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 90/94 between mile markers 88 and 108. Interstate 39 between mile markers 85 and 119. Interstate 39/90/94 between mile markers 109 and 110, and between mile markers 112 and 137. U.S. Highway 18 between mile markers 49 and 84. U.S. Highway 12 between mile markers 213 and 223, and between mile markers 249 and 273. U.S. Highway 151 between mile markers 23 and 47, and between mile markers 98 and 119. ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, In the Blackhawk Park area in the Town of Caledonia, Old River Road is closed with water over it. West Lane Road in the Long Lake area is closed with about 4 feet of water over it in places. County Highway V and Oak Knoll Dr in the Town of Dekorra have water up to the edge of the pavement. A few homes in the Town of Dekorra area near the river have water in the first floor and there is also flooding of outbuildings and yards. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 17.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 13.0 feet Wednesday, April 15. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4 feet on 04/28/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 16.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3 feet tomorrow evening.
