Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR SOUTHERN PORTAGE, NORTHWESTERN WAUSHARA, SOUTHEASTERN WOOD AND SOUTHWESTERN WAUPACA COUNTIES... At 1242 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Plainfield, Hartman Creek State Park, Chain O' Lakes-King, Nekoosa, Wild Rose, Almond, Blaine, Bancroft, Heffron, Emmons Creek Barrens and Rural. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Kewaunee, Menominee, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Oconto County and Waupaca. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of storms with very heavy rain could result in 2 to 4 inches of rain across the the watch area.
