Special Weather Statement
Issued: 12:52 AM Apr. 8, 2026 – National Weather Service
...WINTRY MIX LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING... A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will move across the area late tonight, before switching to rain and ending on Wednesday morning. A thin coating of snow is expected before the mix changes to rain. A light glaze of ice will also be possible from central to north-central, to far northeast Wisconsin, generally to the northwest of the Fox Valley. As road temperatures remain warm, it is likely that any icing will be confined to elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses. Plan for a few slippery spots to start the Wednesday morning commute, but conditions will quickly improve by mid morning as temperatures warm well above freezing.
