Floodwaters affect low spots on South River Rd on the south side of Janesville. Floodwaters affect a home on South Christian Rd on the east side of the river in the Afton area. There is extensive lowland and agricultural land flooding in the Afton and Janesville areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 10.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM CDT Sunday was 10.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.7 feet this afternoon. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.7 feet on 06/02/2000. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations. Lamp Road on west side of river also becomes flooded. Lake Koshkonong merges with Mud Lake to the east of Lake Koshkonong. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM CDT Sunday was 11.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.3 feet this afternoon.
