...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Iowa County in south central Wisconsin... * WHEN...Until 400 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 128 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Blanchardville, Barneveld, Ridgeway, Linden, Waldwick, Cobb, Rewey, Hollandale, Governor Dodge St Park, Jonesdale, Edmund, London, Blackhawk Lake Rec Area and Blue Mound St Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... In southeast Wisconsin, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha. * WHEN...From 1 AM CDT Saturday through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread and prolonged showers and storms will bring rain accumulations of 1-3 inches.
