For the Small Craft Advisory, waves of 3 to 5 ft will continue. For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 5 to 8 ft expected. * WHERE...Nearshore Waters from North Point Lighthouse to Winthrop Harbor IL. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM CST this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 9 AM CST this morning. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM this evening to midnight CST Monday night. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low visibility will make navigation difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions. If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog signals.
