* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisories, east-northeast winds 20
to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 6 to 8 ft. For the
Gale Warning, east winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and
waves 7 to 10 ft expected.

* WHERE...Nearshore Waters from Port Washington to Winthrop
Harbor IL.

* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until 4 AM CDT
early this morning. For the Gale Warning, until 4 PM CDT this
afternoon. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 4 PM this
afternoon to 4 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
