...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban area, small stream, and river flooding caused by rain
and snowmelt is occurring.

* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Iron County.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations, particularly the Montreal River, is
imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1020 PM CDT Monday, local law enforcement and trained
spotters reported flooding along the Montreal River in Hurley
and Ironwood. Flooding is already occurring.
- At 9PM on Monday, April 13th, local city and county
government reported closures of DuPont Bridge and Norrie Park
Road from Lime Street to Norrie Park due to high water
levels.
The Flood Warning may need to be extended if high water
levels and flooding continue beyond Tuesday evening.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hurley, Saxon, Gile, Montreal, Pence, Gile Flowage, Van
Buskirk and Saxon Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you
can do so safely. Flooding can be reported to the National Weather
Service at 1-800-685-8612.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and remains forecast.

* WHERE...Tyler Forks near Mellen.

* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 9.8 feet, At this level ST HWY 169 is likely impacted
by flood water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 9.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Monday was 9.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.7
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.1 feet on 04/22/2014.
