* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation.
Additional snow and sleet accumulations between 2 and 4 inches
except between 3 and 5 inches for northern Bayfield County and ice
accumulations around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high
as 35 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy mixed precipitation
possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to two inches and
ice accumulations between one tenth and three tenths of an inch
possible.

* WHERE...Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band,
the Bad River Reservation and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations
including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National
Lakeshore.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM CDT Friday. For
the Winter Storm Watch, from Friday afternoon through Saturday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice.
Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The majority of the snowfall is expected to
fall during the daytime hours. With the high sun angle and
temperatures hovering just above freezing, snowfall will have a
difficult time accumulating on warm surfaces leading to a slushy
mess.
