For the Small Craft Advisory, north winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 1 to 4 ft expected. * WHERE...Central and Southern Bay of Green Bay, and Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to 1 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. ...SNOW SHOWERS WILL PROVIDE BRIEF PERIODS OF VISIBILITY RESTRICTIONS... Scattered snow showers developing across the region will produce moderate to heavy bursts of snow at times through early this afternoon. These snow showers will reduce visibilities below one half of a mile at times. Although significant accumulations are not expected, the sudden reduction in visibilities could impact travel through this afternoon. Motorists should exercise caution when traveling through this afternoon.
